Nations Gaging Station, Apishapa River

The Nations Gaging Station was discontinued on July 14, 2011 at the landowners request.  Equipment from the station was moved upstream approximately 1.7 miles to the Belarde property.  The Belarde Gaging Station became active on September 1, 2011.

Located near the Nations well downstream of Jarosa Canyon.

ACCESS

This gaging station has been discontinued due to conflicts with the landowner and access is no longer allowed at this site.  The Belarde gaging station, located approximately 1.7 miles upstream, was installed on September 1, 2011 as a replacement for this station. 

SITE INFORMATOIN

This station was active from August 2, 2007 through July 14, 2011.  Equipment installed at this site included an In-Situ Aqua Troll 200, an in-stream staff gage, and a Campbell Scientific CR850 datalogger and direct display.  A total of 79 instantaneous flow measurements were collected during the life of the station resulting in an average flow of 3.10 cfs.  The maximum instantaneous flow measured at the site was 17.56 cfs recorded on April 19, 2010.  A total of 120 water quality samples were collected and sent to a certified laboratory for analysis.
